Our Story
Our Company, incorporated on 30th August 1996, is a Kolkata based Company, originally promoted by Mr. Prakash Bhutoria and Late Mr. Sumer Mall Jain. The legacy is being taken forward by Mr. Lalit Kumar Bhutoria. The Company originally started its business with trading of Coal and minerals.
In 2007, the Company forayed into land acquisition with a view to develop real estate projects under the brand of “Gems City” and “Gems Bougainvillas”. Our promoters have been in the real estate business for over 15 years and have been instrumental in the growth of our Company.

Brief History of our Company
Our Company was originally incorporated as a private limited company under the Companies Act, 1956 pursuant to a certificate of incorporation issued by the Registrar of Companies, West Bengal, Calcutta (“ROC”) dated August 30, 1996 with the name “Shivam Niketan Private Limited”. The name of our Company was changed to “Shiv Niketan Private Limited” and a fresh certificate of incorporation consequent upon change of name was issued by the ROC, West Bengal, Calcutta on 6th day of September, 2002.
Subsequently, our Company was converted into a public limited company pursuant to approval of the shareholders at an extraordinary general meeting held on January 3, 2019 and consequently, the name of our Company was changed to “Shiv Niketan Limited” and a fresh certificate of incorporation consequent upon conversion to public limited company was issued by the Registrar of Companies, West Bengal, Kolkata on January 28, 2019. Our corporate identification number is U70101WB1996PLC081121.
